How We Came to Be

RN Ayurveda was born from my desire to have a holistic health practice,
a place where I could blend my knowledge of Ayurveda and Western medicine
to create a truly integrative wellness experience.

Why "RN Ayurveda"?

The name RN Ayurveda has multiple implications, the first being my occupation as a Registered Nurse and an Ayurvedic Practitioner.

When putting the name, RNAyurveda, a new word is formed – “rna” is a Sanksrit word meaning debt or karmic bondage. In this sense, the name conveys the natural inherited bondage we all have to Ayurveda. As stewards of the Earth, we owe our existence and all we have to Nature, as she provides for all our needs. Ayurveda is the science of Life and Longevity,  which has been developed from direct perception, observation and relation to Nature.

A third meaning can be implied from RNA – RiboNucleic Acid, the carrier of genetic  information in all living cells, which aligns with Ayurveda as the understanding of the underlying functions and interplay of all aspects Nature.
